Il s'agissait de demander...

Hello Mathieu

To be eligible to French nationality, the applicant must have at the time of filing of his application 5 consecutive years of residence in France.
According to your residence permit, you entered France on February 28, 2006. However, there are exemptions from this condition of 5 years of residence. In order to be eligible to one of these exemptions, you must be in position to evidence that you belong to the French cultural and linguistic community because you are national of a country where French is one of the official languages (Canada is one of these countries) and that French is your mother tongue or if you can justify that you have been learning at least 5 years in a school teaching French language.
